Stop Limiting Yurself

“You are confined only by the walls you build yourself’’― Andrew Murphy

Often, when we think of failures in life, we find it easy to put forth the limitations we are set with….”not enough time’’ or ‘’no resources’’ or ‘’it dint work for me in the past’’. But think about it. All those chances you missed, the opportunities you didn’t exploit…could it be achieved with a little more determination and perseverance?  Sometimes we limit ourselves since we have little conviction in fighting for the things we need, whether it is at work or in personal life.

A few experiences in life taught me a very important lesson – your life is in your hands, so are your successes and failures. I quite often marvel at the elephant story contemplating about how many of us are limited by the chain we have tied ourselves with. https://academictips.org/blogs/the-elephant-rope/

We can conquer all our fears once we unshackle our inhibitions and take control of our lives. Few pointers to guide you expand your horizons and live life to the fullest:

1) Don’t bask in the haven of comfort zone; instead get ready to venture out and feel awkward while learning something new.

2) Take action before it’s too late. Go on a road-trip, apply for that promotion or take charge of the next presentation you dread about. You’ll never know you’re potential if you don’t try.

3) Don’t let past failures define you. Learn your lesson, but have the faith to carry on despite failures.

4) Keep walking, even if it means taking baby steps. Assert yourself that you are meant to do bigger things.

5)  Brush aside the naysayers. Look for motivation in the littlest of things.

End of the day, life is not about proving others that you can. But when you lookback, you need to have the satisfaction of having lived a full-fledged one without regrets. The World is full of endless opportunities for those who dare to break the chains and explore.
